Johnathan Russell
A native of Neosho, Jonathan has worked in sales and customer service for his family’s construction company since 2010. Prior to that he worked as a legislative assistant in the Missouri House of Representatives. While working there he earned a Bachelor’s in political science from Missouri Southern State University.
His service within public education began when he helped found Neosho Bright Futures to help meet the needs of students and staff. After helping establish Bright Futures, he continued his service by running for school board.
Jonathan was first elected to the school board in 2013. Now in his tenth year he is currently the longest serving member of the board. He is also currently serving his second year on the MSBA Board of Directors.
Jonathan’s motto is “Make it Happen.” Often times the only thing that stands between us and a goal is the will to do it.
