Kimberly Daubenspeck
Kimberly Daubenspeck serves at the School Safety and Climate Coordinator in the Office of School Safety and Transportation for the Tennessee Department of Education. In that role, she manages the Safe Schools Grant, SRO Grant, maintains data for the office, and manages the Safety Mentor program. She is a trainer in Threat Assessment, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Restorative Practices and Trauma Informed Schools. Prior to her work as a School Safety and Climate Coordinator, she has worked with Local Education Agencies to measure school climate and implement best practices to improve school climate. She has also worked at Murfreesboro City Schools and the Guidance Center. Ms. Daubenspeck holds a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from MTSU and a B.S. in Psychology from MTSU.

In 2015, the Tennessee School Safety Center launched the TN School Safety Mentor Program in an effort to provide peer-driven, school safety training and technical assistance to schools. This session will provide a blueprint of how this program was developed, overcame roadblocks, and achieved sustainable success in supporting safe and supportive learning environments.
