Ryan Stewart joined the Indiana Department of Education in 2002 and is currently the Senior School Safety Specialist for the Indiana School Safety Specialist Academy. In this capacity Ryan is responsible for the planning and coordination of the advanced, basic, and regional trainings for the safety academy. Ryan also conducts school safety reviews for schools and corporations across the state of Indiana to ensure compliance with Indiana codes that pertain to school safety and school emergency preparedness. Ryan also assists the Division in attending County School Safety Commission meetings across the state to promote the safety academy and encourage schools and corporations of the benefits of community support when it comes to school safety.

Prior to his current role, Ryan was a support specialist for the Finance division, and also served as a support specialist for the Indiana Principal’s Leadership Academy.
