This session will provide an overview of emerging health issues in schools, and health-care management trends that create opportunities for collaboration with community partners.
Biography
Gwendolyn Johnson has more than 30 years experience as a school nurse administrator in two large urban Houston-area school districts. She manages and coordinates school health services for more than 200,000 students, implements district and legislative policies, and collaborates with local and state agencies and community partners to address the diverse health needs of school-age children. Gwendolyn has a master’s in health education from the University of Houston.
