Building Resilience for Safer, Stronger Communities
This session introduces the THRIVE Resilience Model™ for growing resilience in others and creating an environment in which all can thrive, including those who experienced trauma. Attendees will learn strategies to build six core capacities: trusted adult relationships, high expectations, resilience skills, involvement, vision, and enrichment, as well as self-care practices and leadership skills. This approach goes beyond a singular focus, such as bullying or substance abuse prevention, to support a holistic, critical foundation of mattering and purpose, strong interpersonal relationships, growth mindset, healthy coping, and building resilience.
